US 1909 Bolo fighting knife with scabbard, manufactured by SA company, measures approx 18" long with scabbard. This piece came from an estate sale in Maine.

Wooden handle measures approx 5" long, has four indentations for the fingers, broken on the top (should have a metal piece), also cracked on both sides and missing a piece of wood. Marked "1 A.G. N.Y. 26" on the wooden part. Crossguard is made of brass and is shaped as the letter "S", very strong, no movement. Blade is about 12" long, marked on both sides on the base "US 10692" and "S.A. 1909" on the opposite side. Blade has been sharpened, has rust on it, some dents on the sharpened edge and one dent on the other other one. Beautiful strong leather scabbard, with metallic base. A 7" long bracket (meant to secure the scabbard to the belt) is attached to the metal base and can be easily rotated almost 360 degrees. Scabbard marked on both sides "L.A.P. 103 Maine" and "Rock Island Arsenal; H.E.K; M.M.O;F.C.W" .
